a fresh look at marginalised christian teachings — man, god & the universe
The early years of the developing Christian religion in the 1st century evolved two strands – Gnostic and Orthodox. The Gnostic line is in effect the theosophical line: our individual quest to discover the higher self; the God within, while the Orthodox focussed on ritual, simple belief and remission of sins by power vested in priests. Orthodox became the dominant force, but the Gnostic line never entirely vanished and has had some revival in modern times. It is in fact very appropriate for modern spiritual aspirant.
