Several churches before the creation of the Roman Church generally disputed the historical truth of the Crucifixion. They were mostly Gnostic churches. This is the second talk on Gnostic Christianity. In this exchange we will question whether the crucifixion was fact, per the gospels, or a symbolic state in human evolution towards enlightenment. We will focus on the crucifixion story from that Gnostic viewpoint. Mary Magdalene’s church that she established in Gaul followed this Gnostic approach.
